More than music

To me, music is almost like a love language.

Sounds corny/cringy but I mean it. There is so much intimacy and vulnerability in music. From the artists perspective they're sharing their emotions and feelings that they may not be able to speak, into a song. Complicated feelings that they've had to process for years all put into one song.

Then they share that with the world.

For us, as listeners, a song can completely captivate us. It holds so much power in our mood, how we perform at school, and how we think.

I think every aspect of music is interesting. The way artists are able to put how they feel into captivating words, how they pick what instruments to include, how everything tells a story.

You should know by now I LOVVVEE storytelling. In writing, movies, especially in music.

Going back to what I said in the beginning about music being a love language. I loveee sharing music with other people. Watching their face when they get to my favourite parts, hearing them understand the lyrics, getting excited about the same parts of the song, etc.

It gives me so much joy to share music with other people. I love finding new artists to share with people, which is another big reason why I started YOF.

So anyway! Whenever I share music with you guys, just know these are the kinds of things I think about!

Jesus loves you.

(also reminder to spend sometime with him today)

Love ya.
